Twenty years ago, this easy and delicious bread recipe started me baking fragrant artisan-style boules at home. It doesn’t call for any special ingredients, equipment or techniques, and it takes very little effort — only time. You’ll need 24 hours to create the bread, but most of this is unattended waiting, a slow fermentation of the dough that results in a perfect loaf.
